More breaking news -- apparently CafePress has been forced to take down all "Get Fuzzy"-related products from the MonkeyWhere store. They have a few monkey-themed items still up, but they're not nearly as clever.
I'm hoping this means that Get Fuzzy will be marketing their own line of MonkeyWhere soon! Let me know if you hear of anything, please...
Or it could just mean that they didn't appreciate the copyright infringement.
Just sayin'...
Well, sure, of course.
However, this was free publicity for them. So unless they're enforcing copyright and trademark religiously and across the board just for the principle of it, the only other reason to force those guys to take down the shirts would be if they had their own plans to market and promote their own wares.
That said, haven't seen any Hot Cup O'Monkey action from them yet, so maybe it is just an enforcement action.
So much for wishful thinking....
